Srinagar, Oct 03 (Buzzbytes): Inspector General of CRPF (Srinagar Sector) Ajay Kumar Yadav Tuesday made a resounding statement, emphasizing the prevailing peace in Srinagar and dispelling any notion of militancy in the district.
At a noteworthy event where LG Manoj Sinha flagged off a group of women bikers on their journey to Gujrat from Lal Chowk, IG Yadav proudly highlighted the active participation of women CRPF personnel in various crucial operations.
“Our women cops are taking part alongside their counterparts in counter-insurgency operations, airport security, road opening parties (RoPs), jail security, and other sensitive operations,” Yadav told reporters on the sidelines of the flagging-off event.
Responding to a query about the existence of terrorism in Srinagar, the IG CRPF questioned, “Where is terrorism? District is peaceful. There can be no better peaceful atmosphere anywhere else.”
When asked whether Kashmiri women can join CRPF, the IG CRPF enthusiastically affirmed, “Yes, Kashmiri women can join the force in any category.” He praised the women’s bike rally as a symbol of women’s empowerment and a testament to their capabilities, stating, “This is a sign of women empowerment.”
In a district that has long witnessed its share of challenges, the image of women taking the lead on the open road serves as a powerful symbol of resilience and progress.
