The Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare Department conducted a one-day block-level orientation program, “Yuva Vani,” under the Holistic Agriculture Developmental Plan at Zainapora. The initiative, chaired by Mr. Farooq Ahmad Reshi, Chief Agriculture Officer Shopian, aimed to empower rural youth, promoting agriculture and allied sectors as viable business opportunities.

The event, attended by BDC Zainpora’s Mr. Gh. Hassan, BDC Imamshab’s Mr. P.K. Pandita, officers from various line departments, and unemployed youth, sought to sensitize and encourage youth participation in agriculture-related endeavors.

Mr. Farooq Ahmad Reshi and Dr. Javeed AEO Chitragam, serving as visiting officers, played a crucial role in enlightening unemployed youth about entrepreneurship possibilities available through government schemes under the Holistic Agriculture Developmental Plan.

Highlighting the significance of exploring entrepreneurship in agriculture, the officers showcased diverse opportunities offered by government initiatives, urging youth to capitalize on these schemes for personal and community growth.

The “Yuva Vani” orientation program not only provided valuable insights but also aimed to inspire Zainapora’s youth to consider a promising future in agriculture and allied sectors, contributing to regional development.
