HAJIN: Army’s 13 Rastriya Rifles of Manasbal Batallion on Sunday conducted a medical camp at Mukhdamyari village in Hajin tehsil of Bandipora district to provide basic health facilities to people residing in the rural areas.
A large number of locals, children, and the elderly visited the camp and consulted the doctors. The genuine medical requirements of the people were addressed and free medical advice and medicines were provided to the attendees.
The teams of Army doctors provided treatment to all patients hailing from different areas that lack adequate medical facilities. The army doctors educated the general public about the prevention of various lifestyle diseases.
The medical camp witnessed an overwhelming response from locals from nearby villages. Free medical advice and medicines were provided to the people.
Appreciating the steps taken by the Indian Army to provide basic health facilities in the far-flung areas, the villagers said more such medical camps should be organised on a regular basis.
Raja Begum, who attended the camp, told Kashmir Reader, “We are from a poor village. I got a body check-up. They gave us medicines. I am extremely grateful to the Army.”
