ARTO Suspended on Corruption Charges in Jammu and Kashmir

BuzzBytes Srinagar, December 6:In a significant development, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) in charge of Poonch, Mr. Jamsheed Rasool Chaudhary, has been suspended on corruption charges in Jammu and Kashmir. The suspension order was issued by the Transport Department in response to a corruption case filed against him by the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Srinagar, during his tenure as the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) in Budgam.

According to official sources, Mr. Jamsheed Rasool Chaudhary has been placed under suspension, and he is now attached to the Office of the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir. In light of the serious allegations, Syed Shahnawaz, the Regional Transport Officer, Kashmir, has been appointed as the ‘Inquiry Officer’ tasked with conducting a thorough investigation into the accusations against Mr. Jamsheed Rasool Chaudhary. The inquiry officer is expected to furnish a detailed report and recommendations to the Administrative Department within one month.

This action reflects the government’s commitment to maintaining transparency and accountability within its departments, addressing corruption allegations promptly.
