Baramulla, Oct 02, 2023: In a rapid response to a distressing incident, the Baramulla Police have arrested the accused within hours of receiving a complaint. A 19-year-old girl, whose identity remains undisclosed, came forward with a written complaint alleging that she had been raped by her father, identified as Mohd Rafeeq Mochi, son of Abdul Jabbar, and a resident of Kalantra Payeen in District Baramulla. Mohd Rafeeq Mochi had been on the run since the incident.
Upon receiving the written complaint, the Police Station Kreeri promptly registered a First Information Report (FIR) under the relevant sections of the law. With an unwavering commitment to justice, the police mobilized all available technical and human resources, leading to the swift apprehension of the accused in the case.
