BJP Mahila Morcha Celebrates Passage of Women Reservation Bill

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Mahila Morcha in Jammu and Kashmir, led by President Sanjita Dogra, celebrated the historic passage of the Women Reservation Bill in both houses of Parliament, particularly significant for Jammu and Kashmir. The celebrations included dancing to drum beats and the distribution of sweets.

Prominent BJP leaders, including J&K Vice-President Anuradha Charak, Veenu Khanna, Rajni Sethi, Ex Dy. Mayor Purnima Sharma, Neha Mahajan, Reema Padha, and others, joined the festivities. Sanjita Dogra expressed her joy, emphasizing that the bill’s introduction, providing a 33% quota for women’s representation in Jammu and Kashmir, marks a significant step toward ‘Nari Shakti’ and ‘Rashtra Shakti.’

She thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the bill’s introduction and passage, highlighting that women’s power is synonymous with the nation’s power. After the celebrations, Ashok Koul, BJP General Secretary (Organization), chaired an organizational meeting of the State Mahila Morcha, encouraging them to strengthen teams for the upcoming 2024 elections.

The event reflected the party’s commitment to women’s empowerment and recognition of their vital role in the progress of the nation.
