BuzzBytes UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 14: Commissioner Secretary of the General Administrative Department (GAD), Sanjeev Verma, took part in the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra by visiting Panchayat Jib-B in Udhampur district.
In a mega event organized under Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Commissioner Secretary Verma chaired a public outreach program to saturate government schemes and raise awareness among the local population. The event saw active participation from various officials, including BDC Chairman Udhampur Lal Chand, Deputy Commissioner Saloni Rai, SSP Joginder Singh, and other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Secretary Verma emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision behind Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY), focusing on widespread awareness, reaching rural masses, and facilitating the utilization of government welfare schemes. He highlighted the transformative impact of VBSY in fostering development, promoting engagement with government schemes, and achieving saturation under citizen-centric programs.
Commissioner Secretary Verma, along with other officials, inspected stalls set up by various government departments showcasing schemes related to agriculture, horticulture, health, animal husbandry, social welfare, handicrafts, handloom, and more. He interacted with officers, reviewed progress under different schemes, and distributed various benefits to beneficiaries.
The event witnessed the distribution of bicycles, baby kits under BBBP, sports kits, solar dryers, KCC, soil health cards, land passbooks, Abhinandan Patra, and Sehat cards under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme among beneficiaries.
The arrival of the Viksit Bharat Yatra Van symbolized the government’s commitment to continuous public welfare and improved facilities at the grassroots level. Commissioner Secretary Verma administered the “Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat” pledge to officials, PRI members, and citizens.
The program included cultural performances by students of Government Girls High School Jib, showcasing flagship schemes to sensitize the local population about the objectives of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
After concluding the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra program, Commissioner Secretary Verma conducted a public outreach and grievances redressal camp at Panchayat Jib-B, addressing public issues and demands raised by BDC Chairpersons, DDC members, Sarpanchs, Panchs, and the general public. Commissioner Secretary Verma assured that genuine demands would be taken up with concerned quarters for an early solution.
