He stated that the massive and recurrent power cuts lasting 8-10 hours per day across Kashmir are tormenting the residents.Nasir emphasized that despite claims made by the current administration about the availability of 24×7 power supply in metered areas, the reality on the ground is different. He criticized the government for collecting significant amounts in terms of tariff from consumers while failing to provide round-the-clock power supply, leaving consumers in distress.He highlighted the impact of power cuts on various segments of society, including students preparing for exams, the business community, and patients relying on life-saving machines. Nasir criticized the administration for not following a proper power curtailment schedule and failing to provide reasonable explanations for the ongoing power cuts.The prolonged outages and unscheduled cuts are causing frustration among citizens who have experienced increased financial burdens due to higher tariffs without reaping the intended advantages. Nasir emphasized that the lack of consistent electricity supply has led to significant losses across multiple sectors, affecting businesses, education, healthcare, and overall quality of life.
