Crackdown in Doda: Ten Foreign Nationals and Facilitators Booked for Illegally Obtaining Indian Documents

In a recent operation, Doda Police has taken strict measures against illegal activities involving ten Myanmar/Bangladeshi nationals and their facilitators. Three FIRs have been filed against Rohingyas and Bangladeshi nationals for procuring Indian identity documents such as Domicile Certificates, Aadhaar Cards, Ration Cards, Voter ID Cards, and PAN Cards.

The accused individuals, including Raheela Begum, Shakeela Begum, Jahan Ara, Meem Bano, Muskan Banoo, Zavaira Begum, Shabnam Begum, Noor Bhat, Zeenat Begum, and Nusrat Jahan, are facing charges under relevant provisions of the law. These individuals managed to enter District Doda and obtained Indian identity documents, falsely claiming to be permanent residents.

Police spokesman stated, “Investigations are underway to identify facilitators and government employees involved in providing assistance to these foreigners. House searches have been conducted, leading to the recovery of incriminating materials.”

The cases, registered under various sections, including the Foreigners Act, aim to hold both the foreigners and their facilitators accountable for violating visa norms and acquiring false documentation. Authorities are committed to ensuring a thorough investigation to bring those aiding these activities to justice.
