Crackdown on Drug Peddlers in Baramulla: Woman Among Three Arrested

BuzzBytes Baramulla, Dec 1:In a relentless effort to purge society of the drug menace, the police in Baramulla have apprehended three drug peddlers, including a female suspect, recovering a substantial quantity of contraband substances.

A police team from Police Station Sheeri, led by SHO PS Sheeri and supervised by DySP Hqrs Baramulla, intercepted two men and a woman on a scooty with registration number JK05-0116 at a checkpoint near Kitchama, close to Service Station.

Upon thorough inspection, the authorities discovered 776 grams of a contraband substance resembling Heroin in their possession. The individuals were identified as Riyaz Ahmad Ganie and Shokeen Ahmad Ganie, both residents of Batangi Boniyar, and Saleema Begum, wife of Mohd Ashraf Najar from Mother Sheeri. They have been arrested and are currently held at PS Sheeri.

A case has been registered at Police Station Sheeri under the relevant sections of the law, and investigations are underway.
