DC Bandipora visits District Drug De-addiction Centre; District Disability Rehabilitation Centre at Bandipora

Bandipora, January 12: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel Ur Rehman Rather, Friday paid a visit to the Drug De-Addiction Centre (DDAC) and the District Disability and Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC) located in Old District Hospital Bandipora Bandipora.On the occasion, the DC was apprised that DDAC, established under the Nasha Mukht Bharat campaign, aims to combat the scourge of drug addiction in the district. During his visit, Rather emphasized the importance of creating a supportive environment, promoting awareness campaigns, and collaborating with local communities to prevent further drug use. He also emphasized undertaking dedicated efforts with a humane approach in ensuring mandated services to victims of drug abuse. He also emphasized on formulation of a comprehensive plan of action against drug-abuse including Identification, Treatment & Rehabilitation of the victims. While visiting the DDRC, the DC said that the administration is focused on creating an inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive and welfare of Specially-Abled persons is the foremost priority. He commended the efforts of the staff at both centres and urged them to continue their dedicated service with compassion and efficiency.During the visit, the DC was accompanied by ADC Umar Shafi Pandit, CMO Dr. Rafi, DSWO Hidayatullah Mir, Tehsildar Bandipora Sheikh Tariq, and other concerned officials.
