DDC Chairperson Dr. Shamshad Shan Reviews District Capex Plan Progress

Mir Mudasar Ramban, February 3, 2024Dr. Shamshad Shan, Chairperson of the District Development Council (DDC) in Ramban, chaired a meeting to assess the developmental progress of the district. Vice-Chairperson Rabia Beig, DDC members, Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Sharma, and concerned officers were present, collectively reviewing the physical and financial advancements of projects under the District Development Plan, Capex Budget 2023-24.DDC members discussed development needs in their respective areas, focusing on the completion of works sanctioned under the Area Development Fund. Topics included healthcare infrastructure, road construction, provision of electricity poles, rapid implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) schemes, and power infrastructure reinforcement.Dr. Shamshad Shan addressed highlighted issues, directing officers to promptly address concerns raised by the members. She emphasized intensified efforts to implement government schemes for maximum public benefit, stressing the importance of coordination between officers and public representatives for successful developmental works and infrastructure creation.The Chairperson urged DDC members to personally monitor progress in their areas, ensuring timely and quality work execution. With more than 75% of works initiated, efforts are underway to achieve 100% physical and financial success under the 2023-24 plan.ADDC Rajinder Sharma underscored the significance of a collaborative partnership between administration and elected public representatives. He encouraged DDC members to work alongside the administration, leveraging local insights for substantial contributions to district development.
