District Police Kulgam Enhances Community Engagement: Conducts Police Partnership Group (PCPG) Meetings

December 16: Responding to the directive of SSP Kulgam, *Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS*, District Police Kulgam orchestrated Police Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings at *Police Station Devsar, Police Station Manzgam, and Police Post Jawahar Tunnel*. Chaired by respective jurisdictional officers, these meetings aimed to address the grievances of the general public and foster collaboration with community representatives.

Respected citizens, including members of Market Associations, Auqaf Bodies, Chowkidars, Numberdars, Sarpanchs, Panchs, youth, and representatives from Pahloo, Malwan, Devsar, Manzgam, Sadiwara, and adjacent villages, actively participated in the meetings.

Participants commended the initiative, highlighting its role in providing a platform to address prevailing societal issues such as drug abuse, domestic violence, and the need for speedy justice. The officers present patiently listened to the concerns raised and assured swift action, promising to liaise with relevant departments for immediate redressal of issues beyond the purview of the Police.

Addressing the gathering, the chairing officers emphasized the importance of strengthening police-public relations. They urged cooperation in eradicating all forms of crime, fostering a peaceful and crime-free atmosphere in the area. Participants were encouraged to share information with the Police about drug smuggling and other illegal activities, ensuring appropriate action against offenders.

The PCPG meetings underscore the commitment of District Police Kulgam to proactively engage with the community, fostering a collaborative approach to address local concerns and maintain a secure environment for all residents.
