SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 30: Emphasizing the importance of maintaining cleanliness in and around our surroundings for healthier and better lives, Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, launched a cleanliness drive within the Div Com office complex as part of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign.

Addressing officers and officials, Div Com Bidhuri underscored the significance of the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign in promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental consciousness. He encouraged everyone to take this opportunity to assess their surroundings, including offices and homes, and eliminate old waste.

During the event, Div Com Bidhuri administered the ‘Swachhata Pledge,’ committing to uphold cleanliness and environmental integrity.

As part of the drive, Div Com Bidhuri, along with other officers, officials, and Safai Karamcharis from Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), collected waste within the office premises for proper disposal.

The ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign is celebrated from September 15 to October 2, focusing on shramdaan activities to mobilize communities, support the Swachh Bharat Mission, promote the concept of a clean village, emphasize sanitation as a collective responsibility, and set the stage for Swachh Bharat Diwas on October 2, with participation across the nation.

The cleanliness drive saw the participation of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Jt. Financial Commissioner, Additional District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Additional Commissioner Kashmir, CRPF Battalion, Jt. Commissioner SMC, along with other officers and officials from the Div Com Office and DC office
