Srinagar, November 16: Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) spokesperson, Advocate Mohammad Saleem Parray, responded strongly to Omar Abdullah’s recent unfounded allegations, urging a more responsible approach to political discussions.
In a statement, Parray emphasized the need for Omar Abdullah to engage in self-reflection before making unwarranted accusations against the respected politician GN Azad, emphasizing that the concoction of false stories should stop.
Expressing the party’s disappointment at Abdullah’s fabricated and baseless allegations against DPAP Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad, Parray challenged the National Conference leadership and others who attempt to gain political leverage through false claims. He asserted that such actions demonstrate the concern of NC and other political parties about DPAP’s growing popularity.
Parray further questioned the achievements of the National Conference, highlighting their failure to connect with the public despite their alliance with BJP for power. He pointed to instances such as the cricket scam, the mysterious death of their worker MohdYousuf Shah, and the use of stringent laws like POTA, PSA, TADA, and Task Force to suppress unarmed Kashmiris, questioning if there were justifiable answers to these incidents.
Offering advice to Omar Abdullah and others, Parray suggested that talking about ideals is easy, but living up to the expectations of the common masses is challenging.
In conclusion, Parray advised caution, stating, “DPAP advises prudence; Omar Abdullah should weigh his words and actions carefully to avoid political missteps that could lead to self-inflicted consequences.”
He reiterated DPAP’s commitment to meaningful political discourse and constructive governance for the overall betterment of the region.
