Er. Aijaz Hussain Attends Closing Ceremony of 18th UT Level Water Skiing Championship 2025-26

Srinagar, October 17:

Er. Aijaz Hussain, District Development Council (DDC) Member from Khonmoh Constituency and Co-Incharge BJP Minority Morcha, Jammu and Kashmir, attended the closing ceremony of the 18th UT Level Water Skiing Championship 2025-26 as Chief Guest. The event was organized by the Water Skiing Association of Jammu and Kashmir under the aegis of the J&K Sports Council at Eco Park, Foreshore Road, Srinagar.

Teams from various districts and sports clubs across the Union Territory participated with great enthusiasm. Young athletes showcased remarkable skill, determination, and sportsmanship, making the event a notable success.

In his address, Er. Aijaz Hussain congratulated the organizers and participants for promoting water sports in Kashmir. He stressed that developing aquatic and adventure sports is essential to boost tourism and provide productive engagement for youth.

“Kashmir’s water bodies are full of potential for adventure and water sports. Encouraging youth to take part in such activities can nurture talent, enhance tourism, and support local livelihoods,” said Er. Aijaz Hussain.

He appreciated the J&K Sports Council and the Water Skiing Association for offering a professional platform to young sportspersons and for their dedication to strengthening the sports culture in the region.

Er. Aijaz Hussain expressed gratitude to General Secretary of the J&K Water Skiing Association, Muzaffar Ahmad Shah, and the organizing team for their continuous efforts in promoting water sports in the Valley.

He later distributed awards and mementos among the winners and finalists, praising their discipline and spirit.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks to all guests, participants, and organizers for making the championship a success.
