Ganderbal Press Association Visits Fire Victim of Gund

Ganderbal 11 Jan:Members of Ganderbal Press Association, led by President Aftab Ah Mir, visited the victim of a recent fire incident in Gund area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.A two-storey residential house belonging to Senior journalist and Member of Ganderbal Press Association, Sheikh Anees, was tragically reduced to ashes in a fire that occurred on Tuesday.Expressing profound sympathy with the victim, they stated, “The loss Sheikh’s family has endured is deeply distressing. The family has been rendered homeless due to this tragic incident. We want to reassure you that the GPA is in unwavering solidarity with you during this period of sorrow.”The association appealed to civil societies, mosque committees, and other NGOs to come forward and assist the affected family in rebuilding their new house. Additionally, they urged the government to provide immediate relief and adequate compensation to the affected family.“They have requested the LG administration to ensure the swift reconstruction of their home, coupled with a comprehensive compensation package.”
