In a resolute effort to combat the menace of drugs, Handwara Police made a significant breakthrough by apprehending a notorious drug peddler and seizing a substantial quantity of contraband substance.
A dedicated team, led by Incharge Police Post Magam, established a checkpoint at Die Crossing Neelipora Magam, successfully intercepting a suspicious individual attempting to evade capture. Following a thorough search, officers discovered a substance resembling Charas concealed in the possession of the arrested individual identified as Jamsheed Ahmed Khan, son of Mohd Asadullah Khan, resident of Neelipora Magam.
An FIR (First Information Report) under Section 8/20 of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act, labeled as FIR No 270/2023, has been registered, and a comprehensive investigation is underway to ensure justice.
