Indian Army’s Heroic Effort: Assisting Locals in Carrying Mortal Remains Amidst Harsh Conditions

Srinagar, Feb 02: In a commendable display of dedication, the Indian Army extended a helping hand to the residents of Bhujthala village in Boinyar. Despite heavy snowfall, the Army assisted in carrying the mortal remains of eight civilians after a tragic accident.On the night of January 31, an SUV carrying 15 individuals from Bhujthala Village met with an accident, resulting in 9 fatalities and 6 injuries. The villagers faced difficulties transporting the deceased due to harsh weather conditions, prompting them to seek assistance from the Indian Army.Responding swiftly, an Indian Army team from Lachhipura reached the accident site with medical stretchers. They not only carried out the challenging task of moving the mortal remains but also improvised stretchers on the spot using bedsheets and poles from a civil ambulance, along with cots from nearby houses.Despite extreme weather conditions, the Army, in collaboration with the Police and Civil administration, showcased commitment and resilience. The next day, two more sets of mortal remains were transported to the village, emphasizing the ongoing efforts of the Indian Army in nation-building activities and providing crucial assistance to the local populace.
