“Jammu and Kashmir Parties Open to Pre-Poll Alliances, Excluding BJP”

Buzzbytes, Srinagar, March 19, 2024:Jammu and Kashmir’s Apni Party (JKAP) and the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) have expressed their willingness to engage in discussions with similar-minded political entities for a potential pre-poll alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the Union Territory. However, JKAP, led by Altaf Bukhari, has firmly ruled out forming an alliance with the BJP citing ideological disparities. Rafi Mir, the general secretary of Apni Party, stated that they have extended invitations to various like-minded parties committed to the welfare and progress of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized their readiness to engage in serious discussions if approached by interested parties, with the primary aim being the advancement of the region’s populace.
