In a recent public address at the BJP headquarters, Senior BJP Leader Mr. Devender Singh Rana expressed his conviction that the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, marked the beginning of a new era for Jammu and Kashmir. Rana emphasized that this political shift has provided equal opportunities to people in both regions, ending the dominance of a select few.
Highlighting the positive changes, Rana pointed to the decline of the stone-throwing and hartal culture, which has been replaced by a surge in tourism and economic activities. He credited the Union Territory’s proactive participation in the country’s growth story under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Rana asserted that the BJP has been on a mission to bring complete peace, normalcy, and equitable development to Jammu and Kashmir. He cited milestones achieved in the past four years as evidence of the government’s sincerity at both the central and local levels.
The senior BJP leader also spoke about various initiatives such as Ayushman Bharat, One Nation-One Ration Card, StartUp, Digital Bharat, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Jan Dhan Yojana, and Izzat Ghar programme, emphasizing their positive impact on people’s lives. He conveyed confidence in India becoming the world’s third-largest economy in the next term of Prime Minister Modi and achieving developed nation status by 2047.
