Highlighting the challenges faced by the J&K Police, Swain stated that their fight against adversaries among their own people requires a level of bravery not commonly witnessed in other law enforcement agencies. While acknowledging that various forces possess their own set of skills, knowledge, and experience, Swain underscored the distinct difficulties faced by the J&K Police.
Swain also emphasized the police force’s commitment to safeguarding the well-being of common citizens, regardless of their profession, be it shopkeepers, employees, journalists, lawyers, or clerics. He reiterated that the J&K Police is dedicated to upholding the rule of law and supporting those who earn their livelihoods within legal boundaries while assisting others.
Furthermore, Special DG CID Swain drew a parallel between Mahatma Gandhi’s advocacy for nonviolence and the imperative of protecting nonviolent individuals from those who espouse violence. In these challenging times, the J&K Police continue their silent yet resolute battle to maintain peace and security for all residents of the region.
