Srinagar, November 17: Three Lashkar-e-Toiba militants were eliminated during a gun battle in the Samno area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Friday, as confirmed by a senior police official.

Although the identities of the militants remain unconfirmed, a joint team of Police and the army continues their thorough search operations.
Yesterday, a combined effort between Police and the army initiated a cordon and search operation in the region.
The militants, upon being cornered by the joint forces, engaged in gunfire, prompting the forces to retaliate, leading to the exchange.
Due to safety concerns in the dark, the operation was temporarily halted, but resumed at daybreak for further progress.
