Law Enforcement Initiates Crackdown Against Social Media Misuse Across Kashmir Valley

In a coordinated effort to curb the rising tide of inflammatory content on social media platforms, law enforcement agencies in various districts of the Kashmir Valley have initiated legal proceedings against individuals engaging in the spread of hate speech and rumors. 

Anantnag Police has taken decisive legal action against Salman Mushtaq Kuttay, Rameez Ashraf Hadi, and Umer Farooq Ganie for their alleged involvement in uploading videos containing hateful and seditious statements on social media platforms. The individuals, residents of Check Wangund Dooru, Watnad Kokernag, and Ratherpora Khairbugh Srigufwara, respectively, now face legal consequences for their actions.

In a swift response, Awantipora Police has initiated legal proceedings against Sheeraz Ahmed Beigh, who is accused of uploading inflammatory and instigating content on social media. The police message emphasizes the need for public vigilance and warns that individuals found engaging in such activities will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.

Ganderbal Police has taken legal action against Waseem Mushtaq Malik and Aadil Ahmed Rather for their involvement in spreading hateful content on social media platforms. Under the authority of a recently issued order by the District Magistrate, legal proceedings have been initiated against both individuals. The police urge the general public to remain vigilant against the misuse of social media and emphasize the serious consequences for attempts to disrupt public order.

To maintain peace and order, Budgam Police has taken strict measures against individuals misusing social media platforms to spread rumors. Two troublemakers have been booked and presented before the Magistrate, with ongoing investigations into the matter. Budgam Police encourages the public to collaborate with law enforcement to apprehend any individuals engaging in disruptive activities and abusing social media, posing a threat to the community’s peace and tranquility.

This collective effort by law enforcement agencies reflects a commitment to ensuring the responsible use of social media platforms and safeguarding the harmony of the Kashmir Valley.
