Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha delivered a keynote address at the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC India) National Export Awards ceremony held in New Delhi today. He took the opportunity to honor the outstanding recipients of the esteemed Awards for the fiscal years 2019-20 and 2020-21.
In his address, the Lt Governor extended heartfelt congratulations to the winners of the 52nd and 53rd EEPC India National Export Awards, expressing his hope that their accomplishments would serve as an inspiration for sustained excellence in engineering goods export in the foreseeable future.
Underlining India’s status as a global beacon under the leadership of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Lt Governor highlighted the nation’s dual role in contributing to global growth while propelling its own economic advancement.
He emphasized the noteworthy ascent of the ‘Engineering Goods’ sector as a pivotal contributor to export growth, marking a 7.2 percent increase compared to the previous year. This achievement, he stated, reflected the relentless endeavors of dynamic entrepreneurs and EEPC India, dedicated to promoting ‘Make in India’ and fortifying India’s prowess worldwide.
During the awards ceremony, the Lt Governor shed light on the UT Administration’s initiatives aimed at harnessing the vast potential of the business and industry sector in Jammu Kashmir.
He extended a warm invitation to industry leaders to witness the urban metamorphosis unfolding in cities like Jammu and Srinagar and urged investment in the UT of J&K, emphasizing that such actions would also reinforce the nation’s unity. Assuring complete support and assistance from the UT administration, he outlined the favorable environment, connectivity, young talent pool, improved security scenario, and robust infrastructure conducive to industrial growth in the region.
The Lt Governor conveyed the message that Jammu Kashmir presents boundless opportunities to investors, offering a partnership in robust and profitable growth. He encouraged those seeking expansive prospects to consider Jammu Kashmir as their new destination.
Addressing industry leaders, EEPC India, and stakeholders, he called for the creation of fresh opportunities in engineering goods and services, emphasizing an inclusive vision that not only fosters prosperity but also ensures that new technologies and innovations drive efficiency, productivity, and sustainable growth for ‘Viksit Bharat’.
Expressing unwavering confidence in the engineering sector’s ability to translate India’s aspirations into tangible realities, the Lt Governor concluded his address on an optimistic note.
