Srinagar, Aug 01 (BuzzBytes):In a poignant gesture honoring the supreme sacrifice of Jammu & Kashmir Police personnel, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha handed over compassionate appointment letters to the family members of two brave martyrs at Lok Bhavan today.
In the first ceremony, LG Sinha presented an appointment letter to Shri Absar Ashiq Qureshi, the son of Martyr Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, who made the ultimate sacrifice during a terror attack in Anantnag on July 22, 2026. The martyr’s family, whom the LG had previously visited at their home in Lalpora, Beerwah (Budgam) last week, was present during the event.
In a separate handover, the Lieutenant Governor presented an appointment letter to Smt. Inshah Nazir, wife of Martyr Inspector Masroor Ali Wani.
Paying rich tributes to the bravehearts for their devotion to duty, LG Manoj Sinha assured both families of the administration’s continuous and unwavering support in all possible ways.
