Meerz Health Care Hospital to boost medical infrastructure, improve healthcare services in Kashmir

Jammu, Jan 19: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday laid the foundation stone of Meerz Health Care Hospital in Srinagar, marking a significant step towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure in the Valley.
The upcoming facility will be a 180-bedded super speciality hospital, aimed at enhancing advanced medical care and improving healthcare services for residents of Srinagar and adjoining districts.
Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor congratulated the Meerz Group and all those associated with the project, and extended his best wishes for its successful completion. He said that private investment in healthcare infrastructure is a cornerstone of sustainable national progress and a vital lifeline for society.
“Healthcare is the bedrock for building a stable, vibrant and prosperous society. Industry leaders in the healthcare sector must focus on creating world-class infrastructure to build a resilient society,” the Lieutenant Governor said.
The foundation-laying ceremony was attended by Farooq Mir, Managing Director, Meerz Group; Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson, J&K Waqf Board; Anshul Garg, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir; Dr G V Sundeep Chakravarthy, SSP Srinagar; Akshay Labroo, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, besides senior officials, medical professionals and prominent citizens from various walks of life.
