Srinagar, Apr 02: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday handed over an appointment letter to Alka Sharma, the widow of martyred Sub-Inspector Deepak Sharma, under the J&K Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme, 2022, assuring all possible assistance and support to the bereaved family.
An official spokesperson informed that Sub-Inspector Deepak Sharma, a braveheart of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty in 2024 while fighting and neutralizing a most-wanted gangster in Kathua district. The appointment letter handed over to his widow is part of the government’s commitment to provide rehabilitation and support to families of police personnel who have laid down their lives in service to the nation.
