Srinagar, Sept 27 (BuzzBytes): On the occasion of World Tourism Day, observed globally on September 27 every year, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday invited travellers from India and abroad to explore Jammu and Kashmir’s landscapes, culture and hospitality.
Describing the Union Territory as the “crown of India,” the Lieutenant Governor said Jammu and Kashmir offers visitors a breathtaking and timeless experience enriched with warm hospitality.
“On World Tourism Day, Jammu Kashmir, the crown of India, welcomes you all. It offers a breathtaking and timeless experience enriched with warm hospitality. I invite everyone to come and experience the enchanting charm of Jammu Kashmir,” Sinha said in his message.
The Lieutenant Governor’s invitation was directed at both domestic and international audiences and highlighted three central attractions of the region, its natural beauty, its cultural heritage and its hospitality.
The message came on a day when Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also extended a similar invitation to travellers, with the Jammu and Kashmir government stepping up efforts to project the Union Territory as a premier tourist destination and to strengthen infrastructure for sustainable and responsible tourism growth in the region.
Officials said the government’s focus remains on promoting responsible eco-tourism while ensuring that local communities and youth stay at the centre of the Union Territory’s tourism and hospitality sector, even as it works to preserve Jammu and Kashmir’s rich cultural traditions and natural heritage while expanding tourism opportunities across the region—(BuzzBytes)
