In a momentous event, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha inaugurated a state-of-the-art Synthetic Athletic track at Jammu University, marking a significant stride in the development of sports infrastructure. The inauguration was coupled with his address at the closing ceremony of the 67th National School Games competition, where he commended the exceptional talents showcased in Judo U14 Boys & Girls and Fencing U19 Boys & Girls categories.

Lt. Governor Sinha emphasized the pivotal role that National School Games play as a launching pad for budding sporting talents. Addressing the athletes, he stated, “From this platform, a new journey begins for all of you, paving the way for numerous opportunities and excellence in international sporting events. I extend my heartfelt congratulations, particularly to our daughters, for their remarkable performances across various sporting disciplines.”

Quoting the mantra of success, Sinha remarked, “Those who wish to win never quit,” drawing attention to the fact that many legendary sports icons had their talents first recognized in school games. He highlighted the importance of providing the right training and mentoring to harness the potential of these young athletes, enabling them to reach greater heights of success.

Acknowledging the transformative sports culture under the guidance of Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Lt. Governor Sinha celebrated India’s newfound status as a powerhouse of champions. He pointed to the recent achievements in the Asian Games, Asian Para Games, and Asian Para Archery Games as a testament to the nation’s prowess on the international stage.
