The ceremony, held in the National capital, New Delhi, continued MFI’s tradition of recognizing and honoring excellence across various facets of the media industry.Founded in 2006 by Arun Sharma, MFI has grown to become a vital organization supporting over fifteen thousand media professionals in India. The awards ceremony showcased the Media Excellence Awards, where distinguished TV journalists, including Rubika Liyaquat, Navika Kumar, Shrivardhan Trivedi, Neelam Mahajan Singh, and Sayeed Ansari of Ajj Tak, were among the esteemed recipients.Print media also saw its share of accolades, with Navoday Times securing the best Hindi Newspaper award, The Daily Milap receiving recognition as the best Urdu daily, and the Chief Editor of Daily Srinagar Jang being honored with the best regional newspaper award. Rajawat Times was acknowledged as the best small newspaper of the year. Metrocity India claimed the title of the best News Magazine, while Rohitash Kumar Verma of Danik Jagran, Muzaffarnagar, was named the best Rural Journalist of the year.Nikhil Wagh, Senior Manager of Public Relations HR and Admin Department at Goa Shipyard Limited, stood out as the Best Rising Communicator of the year 2023.The ceremony, graced by a presidential address from Arun Sharma and a speech by guest of honor Manoj Purohit, was not only a platform for recognition but also a showcase of cultural and musical performances by various artist groups from the country.Adding an intellectual touch to the evening, three books were released during the ceremony. These included Academician Dr. Poonam Kumari’s book on advertisement, Dr. Veena Handa and Dr. Vijatha Taneja’s jointly authored book titled “Empowerment Through Entrepreneurship,” and Dr. Sachin Batra’s book titled On Ethics of Journalism.A moment of particular honor was reserved for Kashmir during the ceremony. Bilal Bashir Bhat, Chief Editor of Daily Srinagar Jang and news portal Onlykashmir [dot]in, not only received the best regional Newspaper award but was also appointed as President Media Federation of India for Kashmir Division.
