January 13, 2024 – Saturday:NDS Stadium in Leh set the stage for the thrilling Grand Finale of the ROYAL ENFIELD Ice Hockey League. Sh. Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Hon’ble MP Ladakh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, invited by the Eicher Group Foundation.The event witnessed the presence of Executive Councillors Sh. Ghulam Mehdi and Sh. Tashi Namgyal Yakzee, Secretary Sh. Ravindra Kumar IAS, In-charge IPS, President Ice Hockey Association Ladakh, along with respective Councillors of LAHDCs and Officials.In his address, Sh. JTN expressed profound gratitude to both teams for their outstanding performance in the Final and extended hearty congratulations to ‘Kasngsing Leh’ for emerging victorious in the Royal Enfield finale.He lauded Ladakh Ice Players and agents for their efforts, acknowledging the support of the UT Government of Ladakh and other stakeholders in promoting Ice Hockey, achieving recent milestones in the sport.The winners, Mr. Stanzin Angchuk of ‘Kangsing Leh’ and Ms. Padma Chorol of ‘Maryul Spamo,’ were awarded INR 2.5 lakh as the winner’s prize.The runner-up accolade went to Mr. Chamba Tsetan of ‘Changthang Shan’ and Ms. Tsering Chuskit of ‘Changla Lamo,’ who received INR 1.5 lakhs.Additionally, various constellation awards were presented to players and teams for categories such as Valuable Player, Fair Play, and Best Team, recognizing their exceptional contributions to the thrilling Ice Hockey League.
