NIT Srinagar Pledges 100% Rajbhasha Compliance, Director Affirms Commitment

 National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, under the leadership of Director Prof. Sudhakar Yedla, declared its commitment to achieving 100% Rajbhasha compliance. The affirmation came during a day-long workshop on the ‘Implementation of Official Language’ organized by the Rajbhasha Cell for Ministerial and teaching staff.

Prof. Yedla highlighted the institute’s dedication to promoting the use of Rajbhasha on the campus. He outlined steps to ensure complete compliance, focusing on encouraging the language in official communications, documentation, and day-to-day operations within the institute.

The workshop aimed to enhance the implementation of the official language in administrative functions. Prof. Yedla praised the efforts of the Rajbhasha Cell and expressed gratitude to Jagdish Ram Pauri from the Ministry of Education, the main resource person for the workshop. Pauri’s support has been crucial in achieving targets set by the Parliamentary Committee to increase the usage of Rajbhasha within the campus.

Jagdish Ram Pauri, Joint Director, Department of Rajbhasha Cell, Ministry of Education, highlighted the history of Rajbhasha and its pivotal role in India’s cultural fabric. He commended the central government’s initiatives to promote Hindi as Rajbhasha while supporting linguistic diversity.

In-charge Registrar Prof. Attikur Rehman noted ongoing initiatives for Rajbhasha implementation, including bilingual issuance of circulars, notices, and general orders. The workshop concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Hindi Translator Dr. Sabzar Ahmad Batoo, expressing gratitude to all participants.
