Jammu, Apr 23: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday assured that genuine concerns of various sections of society would be addressed on priority, reiterating the government’s commitment to inclusive and balanced development.
The assurance came during meetings with multiple public and trade delegations, including a team led by Arun Gupta, which raised key issues related to business and economic activity.
The delegation highlighted challenges affecting trade and called for a more conducive environment to boost growth. They also appreciated the restoration of the Darbar Move, stating it has revitalised economic activity in sectors like markets, hospitality and transport.
Another delegation, led by Vivek Verma, raised developmental concerns of the Pir Panjal region, emphasising tourism potential, better healthcare and education infrastructure, improved water supply and employment generation for youth.
Responding to the demands, the Chief Minister assured timely action and reaffirmed the government’s resolve to ensure equitable development across all regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
