SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 16: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, inaugurated a plantation drive at Eco-park near Shalimar canal, organized by the Lakes Conservative and Management Authority.
During the event, the Div Com planted a conifer sapling, emphasizing the significance of the plantation drive in mitigating the adverse impacts of pollution and safeguarding the fragile environment.
Vice Chairman of LCMA and CEO of Srinagar Smart City Limited actively participated in the plantation drive, reinforcing their commitment to augment the green cover and contribute to environmental protection.
Subsequently, the Div Com conducted an inspection of the ongoing development works on the banks of Shalimar canal. He directed the concerned authorities to expedite all pending works and ensure the area is prepared for the final inauguration
