Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday strongly condemned the recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates that left three Indian nationals injured, terming the targeting of civilians and infrastructure as unacceptable.
In a statement shared on social media, Modi expressed solidarity with the UAE and reiterated India’s commitment to peace and stability in the region.
“Strongly condemn the attacks on the UAE that resulted in injuries to three Indian nationals. Targeting civilians and infrastructure is unacceptable,” he said.
The Prime Minister affirmed that India stands firmly with the UAE and supports resolving all issues through dialogue and diplomacy.
He also highlighted the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz, stressing that ensuring safe and uninterrupted navigation through the key maritime route is essential for regional peace and global energy security.
“Ensuring safe and unimpeded navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is vital for enduring regional peace, stability and global energy security,” Modi said.
The statement comes amid heightened tensions in the West Asia region, with India closely monitoring developments due to its strategic and economic interests, including the safety of its citizens abroad and energy supply routes.
