Handwara Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police arrested two peddlers and recovered narcotics in Qalamabad area. On July 30, 2023, a police party of Police Station Qalamabad, while on naka duty at Shartgund Bala, apprehended two persons who had attempted to avoid the police party in a suspicious manner. On search, around 70 gm of Charas like substance was recovered from their possession. The persons have been identified as Zayeem Ahmad Ganie S/o Gh Mohd R/o Haril* and Mohd Hussain Bhat S/o Ab Gafar R/o Maratgam.In relation to this, FIR No.47/2023 U/S 8/20, 29 NDPS Act registered in PS Qalamabad and investigation initiated.
