Principal Secretary Finance Chairs “Back To Village Phase V” Programme in Budgam, Inaugurates Multifaceted Activities

Budgam, November 16: Santosh Kumar Vaidya, Principal Secretary of the Finance Department, presided over the “Back To Village Phase V” initiative at the Qazibagh Panchayat in Budgam block.

During the event, Principal Secretary Vaidya inspected stalls arranged by various departments to exhibit their products and raise awareness about diverse welfare schemes among the public. He reviewed the execution of several schemes and engaged with beneficiaries to gather their feedback.

Furthering his engagement, Vaidya chaired a Bal Sabha at the Middle School Zoorigund, interacting with local students and emphasizing the significance of developmental works previously discussed during the Back to Village programmes in the Qazibagh Panchayat.

In a public interaction session, Vaidya attentively listened to the concerns and demands of the locals from Qazibagh, Zoorigund, Thukarpora, and neighboring villages. He assured swift actions, promising that their issues would be expeditiously addressed by the concerned authorities.

Highlighting the UT Government’s commitment to robust Panchayat development and expedited issue resolution through initiatives like ‘Back to Village,’ Vaidya reiterated the government’s direct outreach to citizens.

He stressed the importance of timely completion of ongoing developmental projects in the region, urging executing agencies to expedite their respective works.

Later, the Principal Secretary inaugurated a series of sports events at the Qazibagh playfield, encouraging young athletes to concentrate on sports for a brighter future. Vaidya interacted with budding sportspersons and awarded winners from Tug of War, kabaddi, and sack race activities.

The event witnessed the presence of officials including ADDC Budgam, Dr. Akramullah Tak, JD Planning, ACD, CEO, Executive Engineers from different engineering wings, BDO, DYSS, AD Handicrafts, BMO, and other concerned officers and officials. Their participation highlighted the collective commitment to community development and engagement.
