Shabnam Fayaz Pulwama, December 14, In alignment with the public outreach initiative by the Government of J&K, Pulwama Police orchestrated ‘Thana Diwas’ at Police Stations, including Pulwama, Rajpora, Kakapora, and Litter.

At Police Station Rajpora, SSP Pulwama Shri Mohd Yousif-JKPS chaired the Public Darbar cum Thana Diwas at Drabgum village, accompanied by SP Hqrs, SHO Rajpora. The event saw active participation from public representatives, Traders Federations, market associations, and respected individuals from the Rajpora area. SSP Pulwama reiterated that the primary goal of organizing ‘Thana Diwas’ is to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability in grassroots-level policing, fostering confidence among the people.
Simultaneously, at PS Pulwama, PS Kakapora & PS Litter, meetings were chaired by the respective concerned Supervisory Officers and attended by various associations and respected individuals from the concerned areas.
During these events, participants raised issues of public importance, and the chairing officers assured them that genuine grievances related to the police would be given priority. Concerns pertaining to civil administration would be promptly addressed by the relevant departments. Grievances were carefully heard and categorized based on the area of action and jurisdiction.
Participants commended the police’s role in conducting interactive meetings, expressing full support and cooperation in combating societal issues. The importance of mutual cooperation was emphasized, ensuring that law-abiding citizens would receive support through legal means, while those not abiding by the law would face legal consequences. ‘Thana Diwas’ proved to be a constructive platform for community-police engagement and collaborative problem-solving.
