In a significant development, Retired ZEO Rashmi Wazir, daughter of the late Daya Krishan Kotwal, former BJP State President, and a prominent figure in Jammu & Kashmir, officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. Accompanied by a substantial number of supporters, the event was graced by Ashok Koul, General Secretary (organization), J&K BJP, Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, former minister & General Secretary, Anuradha Charak, Vice-President, Sanjita Dogra, President, Mahila Morcha, Baldev Singh Billawaria, former Dy. Mayor.
Ashok Koul, while welcoming the new entrants, highlighted the significant contributions of late Daya Krishan Kotwal, expressing confidence that Rashmi would continue the legacy of service to the nation and the party. Kavinder Gupta appreciated Rashmi Kotwal’s decision and acknowledged her past service as a social worker during her tenure. Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal expressed faith in Rashmi’s commitment to furthering the party’s mission. Sanjita Dogra welcomed Rashmi into the party, noting that her presence would strengthen both the BJP and Mahila Morcha.
