In a significant development, a high-level security meeting took place in Jammu, jointly chaired by Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain and General Officer Commanding (GoC) 16 Lt General Sandeep Jain. The meeting aimed to deliberate on existing challenges and formulate a comprehensive counter strategy to address all threats effectively.
Attended by senior officers from various security agencies and intelligence personnel, the meeting comes on the heels of a two-day gun battle in Rajouri, resulting in the loss of five army personnel, including two captains. The encounter led to the elimination of two foreign terrorists, including the Lashkar-e-Toiba’s top commander, Qari, who was also an IED expert and a trained sniper.
