In a tragic incident, Special Police Officer Mohammad Maqbool Ganie lost his life after being struck by an unknown vehicle during naka duty at Bumzoo in Mattan area, Anantnag. Ganie was rushed to GMC Anantnag but was declared brought dead on arrival. The authorities have initiated investigations into the hit-and-run, expressing condolences for the fallen officer.
