Today marked the culmination of a rigorous 60-day Pre-Promotion Course for Head Constables (Armed) at the Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) in Vijaypur. A Valedictory function was organized to commemorate the event, graced by Ms. Sarah Rizvi, PS, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Training) PHQ-J&K.

In her address, DIG Rizvi congratulated the 150 police personnel for completing their training successfully, urging them to work with zeal and dedication in enhancing the effectiveness and community-friendly approach of the J&K Police. She specifically commended the role of the outgoing trainees, predominantly from the 1987-88 batch, for their exemplary service in anti-terrorism operations, maintaining law and order, and handling crucial responsibilities.
The event also saw accolades for Principal PTTI Vijaypur, Shri Shiv Kumar-IPS, and the institute’s staff for their dedicated efforts in providing excellent and effective training. DIG Rizvi, showing a personal touch, patiently listened to the grievances of the trainees during the interaction.
As part of the program, DIG Rizvi inspected the classrooms and Technical Labs of the Indoor Block. She also participated in the valedictory function of a one-week Traffic Induction course, handing over course certificates to the trainees.
Principal Shri Shiv Kumar-IPS briefed attendees about the institute’s activities and functioning, emphasizing the course’s objective to sharpen the skills of police personnel and expose them to the latest tools and techniques.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Shri Dhushyant Sharma, SSP, Vice Principal PTTI Vijaypur, and other officers from various departments. Their presence highlighted the collective commitment to the continuous improvement and development of the J&K Police force.
The successful conclusion of this training program underscores the dedication of both trainees and trainers in advancing the capabilities of the police force, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle the challenges of contemporary law enforcement.
