Hajin: As part of the public outreach programme, Hajin Police on Thursday organized a ‘Thana Diwas’ at Police Station Hajin.
The event was chaired by SSP Bandipora, Shri Ajaz Ahmed Zargar (JKPS).
SDPO Sumbal, Shri Nawaz Ahmad Khanday, DySP PC Hajin, Shri Amit Khujuria, and SHO PS Hajin, Shri Qaiser Ahmad were also present on the occasion.
The meeting was attended by respectable citizens, members of civil society, Auqaf Committees, Numberdars, Chowkidars, the Traders Federation, and Transporters of the area.
During the programme, participants highlighted various issues of public importance.
All grievances were heard patiently and categorized according to the area of action and jurisdiction.
The attendees were assured that issues related to the Police Department would be addressed under the ambit of law, while other grievances would be taken up with the concerned authorities as per laid-down procedures.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Bandipora sought public cooperation in eradicating drug abuse, terrorism, and other social crimes.
He urged participants to assist the Police in identifying anti-social and anti-national elements who attempt to disturb the peace and harmony of society.
