Tragic Incident Unfolds in Srinagar: Man Ends Life by Jumping into River Jehlum*

In a heart-wrenching turn of events, a resident of Srinagar took his own life by leaping into the unforgiving waters of the River Jehlum from the Abdullah Bridge in Srinagar on Friday morning.

Swift action by the River Police led to the recovery of the man’s lifeless body shortly after the harrowing incident.

A River Police official, speaking to the esteemed news agency Kashmir News Trust, disclosed that as soon as the distressing news reached them, a rescue operation was launched. Tragically, despite their efforts, the man could not be saved.

The deceased has been identified as Ramiz Raja Ganai, originally hailing from Kaksarai but residing in Sarai Balal, Srinagar at the time of this heartbreaking incident.
