In a significant development, security forces in north Kashmir’s Uri town have apprehended two individuals at Jhulla Bridge during a routine security check. The individuals were found in possession of four hand grenades and a substantial amount of cash totaling Rs 467,000.
Official sources revealed that the security personnel discovered the grenades and cash during the search operation at Jhulla Bridge in Uri town. In addition to the hand grenades, Rs 467,000, and other items were seized from the individuals.
A case has been registered under FIR no. 144/2023 U/S 7/25 IAA, 120-B, 13, 18, 23, 38, 39 ULAP, and further investigations are underway.
This incident underscores the ongoing efforts of security forces to maintain vigilance and prevent potential security threats in the region.
