In a remarkable achievement, Udhampur farmers in Jammu and Kashmir have successfully cultivated over 3,000 quintals of mushrooms, leading to a substantial revenue of Rs 6 crore.
Chief Agriculture Officer Sanjay Anand reported that in the current year, the Union Territory witnessed the addition of 500 new growers, contributing to the planting of approximately 1 lakh bags of mushrooms.
Anand stated, “In the current year, about 1 lakh bags of mushrooms have been planted, with 500 new growers joining our network. Udhampur district has witnessed the cultivation of over 3,000 quintals of mushrooms, resulting in a noteworthy revenue of at least Rs 6 crore for our dedicated farmers.”
