New Delhi, 17 JAN 2024: In just two months, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has garnered an overwhelming response, attracting more than 15 crore enthusiastic participants across India. Launched with the goal of achieving 100% saturation of government schemes nationwide, the Yatra has become a symbol of collective commitment to a prosperous and inclusive India.The Yatra’s impact escalated significantly after its launch in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana. From 2.06 crore participants at the end of Week 4 on December 13, 2023, the numbers soared to 5 crores by December 22, 2023, and crossed the 15 crore milestone by January 17. The Yatra covered 2.21 lakh Gram Panchayats and 9,541 urban locations.**Jan Bhagidari: Every Step Together**The Yatra exemplifies the spirit of “Jan Bhagidari” (public participation), a vision initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It employs Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vans to disseminate knowledge about government schemes, sustainable farming, and access to essential services like healthcare, sanitation, and financial independence.As of January 17, 2024, the Yatra has screened over 4 crore people in health camps, with more than 38 lakh registrations on My Bharat. Over 2 crore Ayushman Bharat health cards have been issued, ensuring accessible healthcare for all. The Yatra has reached over two lakh Gram Panchayats, with over 11 crore people pledging towards building a developed India by 2047.
