In a bid to enhance sports activities in District Anantnag and instill a spirit of sportsmanship among the youth, Anantnag Police organized volleyball tournaments for both boys and girls, culminating at DPL Anantnag. The boys’ tournament saw participation from 10 teams, with the final match contested between GDC Khanabal and GDC Uttrasoo, ultimately won by GDC Khanabal. In the girls’ tournament, featuring 8 teams, the final clash unfolded between GDC Women’s Anantnag and Blue Volleyball Club Anantnag, with victory going to Blue Volleyball Club.
SSP Anantnag, Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, distributed cash prizes and trophies to the winning and runner-up teams. Post-presentation, SSP Anantnag expressed immense joy at the ongoing sports activities in the district. He assured participants of more such tournaments in the future, emphasizing JKP’s commitment to nurturing the sports talent of the district.
