In a significant milestone, YAIKS conducted its 900th meeting at the headquarters in Muthi, Jammu. Chaired by President Pt. R.K Bhat, the gathering included Vice President, Senior Advisors, Senior Leaders, and Core Group members.
The meeting focused on pressing community issues, with a strong emphasis on social responsibility. YAIKS stressed the individual responsibility to promote social well-being, underlining the importance of actions benefiting all sections of society.
Acknowledging the success of Margdarshan 2010, YAIKS attributed its efforts to the announcement of PM’s Employment Package in 2008. The initiative aimed at reconnecting Kashmiri Pandits with their roots, and today, the youth of the community eagerly seek to be part of the employment opportunities in the valley.
YAIKS remains steadfast in its commitment to Margdarshan 2010 resolutions, advocating for more jobs for the unemployed and one-time compensation for the elderly. The organization seeks widespread support for the timely implementation of key components, including elections for internally displaced communities.
Highlighting the significance of KP survival issues, YAIKS’s efforts have resulted in the creation of 5500 jobs, contributing to the community’s survival. The organization now advocates for additional employment packages to facilitate the return of KPs to their motherland in Kashmir Valley.
President YAIKS, Pt. R.K Bhat, appealed to Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) Sh. K.K Sidha for the allotment of vacant T.R.T Quarters to needy families in Purkhoo/Muthi/Nagrota/Jagti. The meeting also called upon the LG Administration to enhance cash relief assistance and compensation for the neglected overaged section of the community.
Prominent figures, including Sh. Manoj Handoo, Sh. T.N Ganjoo, and Sh. Vinod Bhat, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of unity and support for the welfare and development of Kashmiri Pandits.
